Ian has been a Director of several industrial activities in Europe with many years business experience working at board level including Philips Electronics. He holds a Masters degree in Business Science from Manchester University.

Gary provides entrepreneurial and management expertise for small and growing companies. Previously he was Managing Director and major shareholder of a highly profitable house building business. Gary holds a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering and a number of Executive Directorships.

David was appointed in 2006 having previously held the position of Executive VP Sales for Comodo Trustix. He is highly knowledgeable of the mobile security space and has been with UMU since inception. He currently heads up our sales operations in Asia where he is responsible for establishing our local office and working with local partners to ensure delivery.

Darren joined the UMU board following many years in senior commercial and development positions within the Technology industry. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Psychology. He has managed the launch of numerous NASDAQ technology companies into the European consumer market, including Interactive Corp. He has also worked extensively in S.E. Asia and holds a number of non executive directorships in UK internet technology businesses.

Jon qualified as a chartered accountant in 1983 and has held a number of senior financial positions in private and public companies across a number of industry sectors. Latterly Jon has been Group Finance Director of Vericore Holdings, a buy-out in the pharmaceuticals sector backed by 3i and Morgan Grenfell and Avonside Group which provided services to UK house builders backed by Alchemy Partners. Jon holds a number of non executive appointments.

Peter has over 30 years of software development and managerial experience as well as a good understanding of antivirus software and the antivirus industry. He spent several years with McAfee where he was responsible for redesigning and developing their Groupshield product set, including PortalShield and SpamKiller. He was responsible for European and Asian development teams. On leaving McAfee, he took up a role as Software Engineering Director for CSW, a supplier of electronic records management software to the healthcare, pharmaceutical and publishing markets.

Tim has worked in the security software industry for ten years, specialising in secure messaging systems. He is an expert in security software and encryption. He holds a B.Eng. (Hons) in Electronic, Telecommunication and Computer Engineering from Bradford University.

Philip joined the company in October 2006; he is a financial accountant with many years practical experience of managing, reporting and controlling the financial aspects of a business.  Philip has previously been the group accountant for the Merewood Group Ltd, a house building company with a turnover of over £35m.
